About Alyssa
I have experience as a reading and writing tutor. I have worked in home with students, as well as in classrooms with students. I work with students who are K-5th grade and seek to help improve their reading, comprehension, fluency, and writing skills. I love to make learning fun and believe in positive reinforcements as we build skills. I have been working for the local school district as a para-educator, and work one on one tutoring students for a majority of my time. I also worked for the district for a year and half as a para-educator in the reading program. I was a one on one tutor for a 4th grade student for 6 months in Reading Comprehension, Writing Skills and Social Studies.

Alyssa is an amazing nanny. She cared for our two girls, preschool and elementary age, for over a year, and still cares for them on school breaks. The only reason she isn't with us now is because our youngest started kindergarten and I didn't need all day care. Alyssa becomes a part of your family when she cares for your children. She is an excellent communicator both with the girls and with myself and my husband. My girls love arts and crafts and she would find really fun crafts for them to make together. Alyssa was always flexible, accommodating, and punctual. I never had a moments worry about school pick-up, getting the girls to after school activities, or homework being done correctly. As a Mom, I appreciate how she joined our family. We weren't just a job to her. She is completely family oriented and it showed in her care of our children. I can't say enough great things about her! I highly recommend Alyssa.
