I have supported their cognitive, emotional, and social development by creating a safe and nurturing environment. In 2020, I moved to Santa Rosa from Brazil and worked as a nanny for a family for four years, caring for their first child since he was 3 months old, and later their second child as well. I was really hesitant about hiring through Care.com at first because I was nervous about finding the right fit for my son. When I first connected with Aline, I spoke with several of her references and they all had incredible things to say about her. But it wasn’t until I met her in person and saw her with my son that I truly understood how special she is. She started watching my son one day a week when he was 11 months old after we unexpectedly had to transition from our previous nanny. From the very beginning, he completely melted into her arms. He sleeps so well with her, and she’s amazing with contact naps when needed. She’s not the rigid/structured/sleep-training type of nanny, which worked out great for us. We wanted someone warm, nurturing, patient, and go-with-the-flow — someone who would rock or hold him to sleep if he needed comfort — and that is exactly who she is. Now when she arrives, my son runs straight into her arms without even looking back at me. That says everything. I feel incredibly comfortable with him in her care, and it genuinely warms my heart to see how much he loves her. She spends so much time playing with him outside, taking him on walks, and engaging with him so naturally. He completely feeds off her calm, warm energy. Aline doesn’t treat nannying like “just a job.” She truly loves the children she works with, and you can feel that in every interaction she has with them. If you’re looking for someone nurturing, calming, kind, and genuinely loving with children, she is an amazing fit for any family.
