About Alana

I'd describe my personality as compassionate, positive, and supportive. I like tutoring because it gives me a chance to help students outside the classroom. School can be tough and difficult for students to find help or ask for help. I want to help motivate students and give them the confidence they need to achieve their goals both personally and academically. I'm looking for a job that allows me to help students individually and gives them the time they need to really learn from the material. I also just enjoy helping and going the extra mile for my students. I started tutoring when I was in high school and early parts of college. In my spare time, I like to bake, cook, read, learn new things and go off and try new things! One thing you should know about me is I am willing to work with you and your child to help them succeed! I believe in finding resourceful ways to make learning easier! My skills include reading comprehension, note taking and essay writing.
