About Alana

Hi! My name is Alana and I am a special education teacher in MPS. I work with grades 3-8 so I have plenty of experience with a wide variety of ages. I am all for outside time, keeping keeps busy, and anti-screens. Help me help you! I'd describe my personality as caring, stubborn, and creative. I like working with kids because I enjoy seeing their growth, confidence, and personality develop over time. I find it rewarding to help students learn new skills, overcome challenges, and experience success in ways that are meaningful to them. Working with children also allows me to be creative, patient, and supportive while building positive relationships that can make a lasting impact on their lives. I'm looking for a job that allows me a bit of flexibility but also lets me hone my teaching skills over the summer. In my spare time, I like to read, go for walks outside, and hang out with my cats.
