About Abi

Hi, I'm Abi, an education major pursuing a dual B. S. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education with a concentration in Developmental Disabilities and a minor in Psychology. I hold a NYS Level I Teacher Assistant Certification and tutor Math, English, Science, Study Skills, Test Prep, and Special Education. As a Teacher's Aide, I've worked hands-on with students who have autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, anxiety, and depression, drawing on learning theory from Vygotsky, Piaget, and other foundational educational psychologists and applying it directly to real classroom practice every day of the school year, across every subject I teach and tutor students in. I use evidence-based strategies like scaffolding, differentiated instruction, explicit teaching, guided practice, multisensory learning, and positive reinforcement to help each student build real confidence and achieve lasting academic success.
