About Dawn

For over 20 years, I've been dedicated to helping students unlock their full potential. I am a NY State certified teacher with a graduate degree in both Childhood Education and Students With Disabilities. In addition, I am a certified Wilson Dyslexic Practitioner. I believe in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students thrive. I tailor my approach to each student's unique learning style through varied teaching strategies and open communication, incorporating visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions. I connect challenging topics to real-world examples, celebrating small successes and encouraging curiosity. Regular parental check-ins and feedback are essential to my process. I am available to tutor online, at the library, a community center, or school, and I can assist with math, english, science, test preparation, and study skills for elementary school students. I would love to help your child gain confidence and succeed!
