About Abbie

I am a currently graduate student studying speech-language pathology. I have had multiple internships in middle schools and elementary schools working with children with special needs from mild-severe. I have experience working with alternative modes of communication, and have some sign language to help promote communication. I have loved working with children and would love to support your child and make parents like you to feel comfortable providing safe care for your child. I'd describe my personality as compassionate, patient, and understanding. I like working with kids because I enjoy building genuine relationships to help kids feel safe and provide an open space for communication to express wants and needs. My skills include research based behavior strategies, lots of experience with working in special needs for children and adolescents, and being able to build rapport with children to cater to their needs.
