About who needs care: Mother had a stroke in 2017 - affected left side, she can't use her left hand/arm. She walks fine, but can get a little unsteady at times or tires easily, so having a cart in store works well she can hold on too. She doesn't like wheelchair, but will use a transport chair for long errands like doctor's visit or if shopping. Mentally fine - a little forgetfulness, but nothing major. Lives with husband who is her caretaker, but he is 86 and slowing down. We would like to see about having someone help from time to time with taking mom to hair appointment, dropping clothes or picking up from laundry, possible dr. appointments. Days would vary - would have advance notice for scheduling.
About the care needs: Someone outgoing, but not too loud or talk too much.
They are both hard of hearing, so prefer caregiver not to have any heavy accents which make it hard for them to understand.
Need someone that is a good driver with reliable car - would like them to take to appointments or use car to pick up laundry, maybe some groceries.
no hobbies - they watch a lot of tv.
no special skills needed at this time. Just someone to help assist.
Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
