About who needs care: 98 years young. Bounces back from everything!! Very independent.
Uses walker * wheelchair - walks if can hold on for steadying
He is much stronger and can get up and down by himself from recliner and bed. I am afraid of him falling, but am encouraging his independence. so I try to watch rather then help right now.
Has Oxygen for PRN use. 3 weeks ago, frequently and now rarely. (CHF, Stents and pacemaker) Monitored by oximeter as needed.
Under hospice care as the recent decline was rapid, along with wound care from a fall, and previous edema. Edema is reduced wounds are healed. Hospice is currently coming in once a week
Has a lady friend that is a huge help, but If I (daughter) go home (Pensacola) for a bit, need another set of eyes to keep him safe and make breakfast, and supervise his going to bed if she is not here. He is currently sleeping most of the day in recliner. His wake up time varies and he likes to watch the 11 p.m. news before he goes to bed.
About the care needs: Outgoing, able to laugh at dad jokes, can cook breakfast.
Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
