Are live-in nannies background checked?
All live-in nannies on Care.com are asked to complete an annual background check called a CareCheck. The live-in nannies who complete this background check have a badge on their profile that displays the date it was run. A CareCheck is a good starting point, but we strongly recommend that you follow some additional steps when hiring a nanny to help ensure safety for your family, such as interviewing potential live-in nannies, requesting references, and running your own private background check.
What should I ask a live-in nanny during an interview?
