About who needs care: My mom needs someone that she can not push around. She is naturally a take-charge person. However, with her diagnosis, she cannot make her own decisions any longer. She doesn't really like to do the things that a daycare programs do, but she can benefit from them. She has to follow her daily regimen with guidance. She cannot stear in another direction because her medication is of the utmost importance. She needs daily structure so that she doesn't get upset because of change. About the care needs: We need a very strong personality but loving. We need someone who has a strong background in caring for alzheimer patients especially those who were just diagnosed. We need someone with a great driving record because they will drive my mom to her appointments and activities. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.

Townhome 1470 square feet. 2 stories. Level 1 (Kitchen, powder room, dining room and living room). Level 2 (2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 shower room) We have equipment and supplies but would prefer if supplies were brought. Making up two each beds required. No windows or blind cleaning required.

My mother, Anita, is 92 years old. Since January 2020, she's largely confined to her home in central Redondo Beach. Broken hip and subsequent hip replacement was mixed. Lost an in in her right leg. Can't walk easily nor stand for long periods. She's more or less sharp but lately has signs of dementia (short term memory). Also is frail and is a fall hazard. Very lightweight: about 78 pounds. Watches television and likes occasional trips dining out. Sleeps a lot during day. Sleeps okay at night. Seeking an experienced female caregiver. Younger and in good shape highly preferred. Should be a good listener though not excessive in talking. No patronizing nor excessive fussing over her, please. Snore loves good conversation. We require full time daytime help: about 11-7 p.m. Breakfast at about 11 a.m. Lunch at about 1230-1 p.m. Dinner about 530-6. Tends to nap a lot. Sleeps well... about 13 hours per night. Conversation and watching television (Turner Classics). Sensitive but not overly fussing over Anita. Should be sharp, intelligent, seasoned, responsible, caring. Garage available or street parking. No pets.
