We need a babysitter for our 2 children in La Mesa. And we're looking now! Animal lovers please apply (we have cats)! We need someone to pick kids up from school at 3 p.m. (same school in kindergarten and first--you could put car seats in your car, or use our minivan) and bring them home and hang out with them until 7 p.m. May take them to activities after school as well. Mondays and Thursdays to start. Could add more hours. Dad is going through cancer treatment, so this person would need to be conscientious of health and be ok with masking around the house.

About who needs care: My dad is a kind gentleman. He was pretty independent and didn't require much assistance, but lately he's slowing down quite a bit and has become weak from lack of exercise, making him more frail and a fall risk. He uses a walker and has mild dementia. He was an avid body surfer and a pro tennis player in his day. He's more interested in hearing about your story than engaging in his own stories. When he's on his own, he watches TV and sleeps a tremendous amount, so it would be nice if he had some conversation with someone as a companion. He's slowed down on getting calories in on his own and meal prep, and needs to be reminded to eat and drink water regularly. Services needed include: meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, and help with light PT exercises, which would be really helpful.
