We are a family of four about to be five living in Bird Rock, La Jolla and looking for a nanny to assist part-time now and move in to more full-time in November/December when baby arrives. We have two girls N (3 years) and S (22 months). They are both outgoing, loving, kind, playful, adventurous, imaginative and full of energy. Right now, we need help 2-3 days a week and occasional weekends. The schedule is flexible although may look like MWF 1pm-5 p.m. I am a stay at home mom so will be around a lot but need some personal time. Once the baby arrives, the nanny and I would share childcare duties juggling between the older kids and the baby who will need extra attention with naps and feeds. Minimum 45 hours a week and a tentative schedule of M-F 7am-5 p.m. including occasional weekends. Need someone well versed with infant care.

Her daily activities include doing jigsaw puzzles, word search, taking walks, listening to music, napping, and watching the Padres or other sports on tv. We want someone who can share in these activities, make her meals or snacks as needed, take her for a walk, etc. At times you will need to proactively direct the flow of activities. My wife and I are my mother's primary caregivers and share the house with her and our small dog. We'd like someone with experience in senior care/memory issues, who likes dogs, enjoys jigsaw puzzles, and can be a compassionate companion. We have two 20lb golden/labradoodles. They are very loving and well behaved. We keep them pretty active, take them on several walks per day. A bigger walk in the morning when they first get up usually about 2 miles, then a couple potty walks during the day and then another final potty walk before bed. The potty walks range from 0. 5 - 1. 5 miles. They are usually ready for bed around 9 p.m. This will be our first time having in-home care so it will all be an experiment to see what works. :-)

We are relatively new to La Jolla. Our home is a multi-level home with hardwood and carpeted floors. All the bathrooms have recently been remodeled as well as the rest of the home. Our home is our safe haven and we absolutely love it. We are looking for someone who will help us care for it with an attention to details and an appreciation for organization.
