Hello! we are looking for someone to watch our two daughters, aged three and five, on Wednesday so that we can go to see a musical (we would probably be gone from 5:30 - 10:30 or 11:00 p.m. ). Im also hoping to introduce the girls to you before on Tuesday afternoon at your convenience for about an hour to get the girls comfortable. I know this is last minute! We are looking for someone to help with B (6) in the mornings 3-4 days a week. You'd come to our house to get her ready for school, and then drive her to school. B is a wonderful and energetic little girl. She has autism, and she is developmentally and speech delayed. She can be challenging, but the joy she emits are so cute and worst it. The pure joy that shines when she jumps on the trampoline is so great- esp considering she does it ever single day! My husband and I both teachers, so we can be flexible. That also means that you get off any breaks that schools get off, if you'd like! If you'd rather keep working, that's great too!

About who needs care: Mom is physically in great shape, but has slight dementia, her short term memory is slowly diminishing. Dad is unsteady on his feet, moves with great caution on stairs, depends on a cane, but can walk quite fast without a cane when on sure ground, like inside a store or on an asphalted street. They are 92 & 93 so gardening in the yard is their biggest interest. Mom has always been a home body whereas dad has always been the opposite. Mom gets disoriented when dad goes to the backyard and she cannot find him. If she cannot find him she gets scared that she has been left alone. Ever since dad lost his drivers license he has become dependent on others and he hates it. Dad likes to go to the grocery stores. A walk in the neighborhood should be a daily habit, however it is currently sporadic. They do fine in the mornings, however we need help to make them lunch and dinner, take them for walks and generally keep them company, but mostly mom. About the care needs: A person who is gentle with mom but is not a pushover, and who can maintain established boundaries. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
