We need hands-on care to take care of my loved one in El Monte. One of your responsibilities will be helping with bathing. Please have experience assisting with feeding.

I need a caregiver that is experienced/comfortable with dementia/Alzheimer's. Duties would include incontinence care, changing clothes/sheets if necessary, preparing meals, and giving mid-day vitamins. Senior is mobile but needs guidance when walking for safety due to tripping/falling in past. Senior can feed self but need meals prepared and plated/presented. Senior can use the toilet, but has had increased levels of incontinence recently so needs to be checked/changed regularly. We would like for caregiver to come prior to the date we need if possible to show you around and where we keep supplies and items to make your visit easier. We do have cats/dogs. The cats are self sufficient and have an automated litter box. The dogs will need to be let out to use the bathroom every so often.

About who needs care: My great grandfather Theodore needs 24/7 care because he is a fall risk at this age and needs supervision taking his medication and with his every day tasks. He likes watching the news and listening to boleros. About the care needs: Theodore likes to have conversations in Spanish and tell stories. He currently has a Foley catheter so he needs assistance emptying it out and keeping it clean. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.

About who needs care: He is recovering from spine surgery. He needs supervision with mobility but he can walk by himself just need someone there for safety. Will also need assistance with toileting. About the care needs: Someone who is attentive, respectful and compassionate. My father is a kind and gentle man. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
