About who needs care: She is unable to speak due to having a stroke that left her partially paralyzed and she has a feeding tube.
Daily task: Changing her when she uses the restroom, turning her body every few hours to prevent sores, and providing her her liquid diet and liquid medications.
Optional: Taking the dirty linens and putting them in the washer & dryer
Weekly task: Bathing her, brushing her hair, putting lotion on her, light exercise of moving her leg
Most of the time it's light supervision and mainly needing someone for hygiene purposes. During down times you are free to watch TV, use the internet for any purposes, and even use the kitchen for any potential meals.
About the care needs: Someone who is willing to keep my grandmother clean with high quality of care. We have had poor experiences where people would clean up her excrement on all parts except private areas which allows potential for infections.
Specialized skills isn't much other than ability to change her when she uses the bathroom very well, and make sure to feed her and give her her medications on time.
If the caregiver doesn't know how to do all of this we are more than willing to teach them as we have done this for many years.
Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
