I'm looking for hands-on care for my mother in her 60s. Mom has limited mobility, is wheel chair bound, and would like assistance with drinking, tube feeding, basic hygiene (teeth brushing, face wiping, etc), stretching, using respiratory therapy equipment, etc. We will of course teach you how to use any equipment. We aren't expecting you to be familiar with it. We are just looking for someone who is patient, kind, dependable, and is willing to help/learn. Time can be flexible if needed and start date can be anytime. My dad will be home most days you are there, you would be respite care to give Dad (and Mom, too) a break.
It would also be helpful to have help with light housework (like sweeping) as time permits while you are here. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and comfortable with pets. Thanks for considering us!
