About who needs care: My mother is the caregiver for my dad who is a dialysis patient. She has been driving him to dialysis 4 times a week, she is active and does all the yard/housework and cooking. But it has been 6 years of this now and she is getting caregiver burnout. We (her two daughters) have been helping out twice a week. She has osteoporosis and arthritis so mobility is becoming an issue, she needs more help especially on the dialysis days. We are looking for someone who speaks Chinese, able to drive my dad to his PT, his dialysis, go grocery shopping, cook a meal and do housework such as vacuuming, mopping, bathroom and kitchen cleaning - a chore or two on each of the days of the week that he/she is here.
Tuesday / Thursday / Saturday routine (5 hours):
Come over around 11:30, help prep dialysis bag
Drive to PT 12 noon - stay with him - it is a 20 min session
Drive to dialysis 12:30, arrive around 12:45 for 1 p.m. dialysis
Help put blanket on dad, set up his earbuds, water
1:30-4:30 - Run errand or do chore at house, prep meal that is suitable for dialysis patient and high BP
4:30 - drive to pick up dad from dialysis, pack his blanket, earbuds, water - drive dad home
Can leave around 5-5:15 p.m.
