I have been working with animals my entire life. I am working towards becoming a veterinarian and putting myself through school. I have been a foster parent, a boarder, a kennel attendant, a veterinary technician, and many other roles. I am completely devoted to the well being of my animal pals and it shows through the happiness and well being of the animals.

Watch over 20 students daily after school. Help with homework for 2 hours everyday, every school subject. Create and advise arts, sports, and healthy habit programs. Follow up with parents on student behavior.

I have been nannying since I was 16 years old and have many nieces and nephews who I have watched starting from the ages of newborn to 9 years old. I can handle up to 2 children possibly 3. Able to help out any family in need. Love children with all my heart. Also do pet sitting! love all animals more than anything!! I have a fur baby myself (white dog pictured). I love going on hikes with kids or to the park to get some fresh air and get the body moving! Was a lifeguard in the past so I can securely watch over any child that wants to go swimming on those hot days. A. in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Exceptional Children and Youth. I love seeing the things that I've learned in my education play out in the children that I'm around as well as using the skills that I've gained. I've been babysitting/nannying professionally for the past 9 years and have been with my current family for around 5. I have experience with children ranging in age from infancy-13 years. My experience with childcare began when I was 12-years-old & I became the neighborhood babysitter. I got my first "real job" when I was 16 & I started working at a local daycare. I was a nanny during my first year of college for a family of 3 young children. After that, in 2003, I discovered the world of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) & began working with young children with autism. I graduated college in 2007 & started the teaching credential program, but decided that I was more interested in ABA than I was in being a teacher. I stayed in the field of ABA while working up the ladder until March 2014. The last position I held was a behavior consultant overseeing in-home & school-based programs. I decided to leave the field when we relocated due to a job offer my husband received. I missed doing childcare, so I took the transition as an opportunity to get back in the game! From April 2014 through June 2015, I worked as a nanny/babysitter with 12 children across 6 different families & I enjoyed every minute. I pride myself on being able to strike the balance between being authoritative & being fun. I use behavioral techniques while providing care in order to manage behavior and provide reinforcement. We have recently relocated to the Vancouver area & I am available for part-time childcare from now until March 18, 2016 (I am currently pregnant with our first child & due at the beginning of April).

I know how to prepare bottles and simple meals, change diapers, soothe, feed, bathe and put down children of all ages for naps and bed. I try to take the children outside either to a park, a library, or even just the backyard. Reading has always been important to me, so even if you have a young child I will try to read with them.
