About who needs care: I anticipate needing 6 weeks of part-time help, commencing late April, following an orthopedic surgery that will require that I keep one hand in a cast, that must be kept dry. I anticipate needing some help with meal preparation (e. g., cutting up vegetables) and with kitchen clean up (pots and pans); occasional light housekeeping help (e. g., changing bed linens); and perhaps with miscellaneous household chores that require use of two hands. I anticipate being able to drive, but it is possible that I could use help with grocery shopping or other errands. I do not anticipate needing help with other activities of daily living (ADLs). I don't expect to need more than a few hours of help per week, so this is part-time work, perhaps a couple of hours at a time, perhaps as little as 3-4 days/week, though I may revise my assessment of how much help when I can better assess my needs. Best times for help might be in late morning or late afternoon, but I can be flexible about scheduling time to accommodate your other priorities. This position may be best suited to someone who would like to pick up a bit of extra work for a few weeks.
