We are looking for a great after school babysitter for 2 children in Ellicott City. We have a 3rd older child who would need to be picked up from school, 2 minutes driving distance, before the younger kids and dropped off at home. The two younger children, ages 10 and 5, will need to be picked up from the bus stop, which is a walkable distance. You would be responsible for staying with the two kids, giving them something to eat, and bath time. We also prefer someone who will help with housekeeping like laundry, kitchen prep, tidying up and preparing meals. We would prefer someone who has their own car, although we have an extra car you can use, who does not smoke, CPR certified and previous experience with childcare. Someone down to earth, good listener, outgoing, open, patient. Someone on time, reliable, caring and honest. Nursing experience and training. Someone 40-60 years old. Person should be strong enough to help lift, move commode, wheelchair. Services needed include: meal preparation and clean up, laundry, feeding, bathing / dressing, and in home or outside mobility assistance (no driving).

Seeking care for our autistic 6-year-old son, with occasional responsibility for his 9-year-old sister. Our son is high energy and usually quite happy, but has occasional meltdowns that involve aggressive behaviors. He speaks a few phrases, and we are working on introducing an AAC device for communication. Ideal candidate has previous experience with autism or related disabilities. Ability to drive is an advantage; we can provide a car. Core hours are 3-6, M-F. Will guarantee up to 40 hrs/week for the right person, if you are willing to do some housework and/or offer care for date night or weekend hours. $20-25/hr., based on experience. Strongly prefer a nanny willing to be paid over the table, and someone looking for a long-term position. We will fund professional development. 3 weeks PTO. Located in Hampden.
