Companion Care Needed For My Grandmother - I am looking for care...

Full Time $16 – 35/hr Starts 01/29 Hampton, VA
About who needs care: I am looking for care for my grandparents who are 81 and 86 years old. My grandfather has terminal lung cancer and lies on the couch all day. He currently has chemo every 3 weeks with a weekly doctor's appointment in between. We would need someone to bring him/my grandma to those. My grandmother has dementia and hearing loss. She is unable to consistently cook meals for herself and my grandfather. We would need someone to cook breakfast, lunch, prep dinner (Ensures if my grandfather won't eat) as well as buy groceries. Additionally, we would need someone to do minor clean-up post cooking (we're going to hire someone else to clean the house) and administer medications to my grandfather to ensure he is taking his meds consistently and the correct dosage. My grandfather has a catheter to drain the fluid from his lungs--it needs to be done every few days. We would also need you to learn (it's simple) how to do that. About the care needs: We need someone who is incredibly patient. My grandfather is very sweet and lethargic most of the time. My grandmother has trouble forming sentences due to her dementia, but likes being able to talk to someone as she is often alone. Because my grandmother is hard of hearing, you must be patient knowing that you will have to repeat yourself several times. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
