This is a long-term part-time position for someone with an interest in developmental delays. Schedule is flexible.
Care will involve:
Home-based, play-based, and child-centered developmental support for 4-year-old boy.
Child is exceptionally intelligent, imaginative, and inventive. He struggles with sensory sensitivities, and has delays in socialization and self-regulatory skills.
Aide will receive supervision and direction from a pediatric neuropsychologist and the child's mother.
Qualifications:
College coursework in psychology, social work, or related field. Experience working with children.
Key characteristics sought:
Able to follow directions, incorporate feedback, and work as part of a team.
Clear and timely communication. Resourceful, flexible, playful.
Able to attune (emotionally and sensorially) to the child.
