My name is Anne and I am a Care Specialist in the Expert Assistance Department with Care.com assisting Becky and John in their search for apart-time caregiver for their 2 children, ages 4 and 6 (almost 7). Hours are 5:30 to 8:30 pm, ideally Tuesday and Thursday with some flexibility for alternative weekdays, and 4:30 to 8:30 pm on Saturday. The family occasionally needs extended hours on a Friday or Saturday with notice, and they are looking for someone who could be available for a relatively set schedule from week to week December or January through August. Duties include routine care, snacks and light meal-prep, facilitating activities, screen-free play, time outside, dinner, bath time, setting out clothes for the next day, packing lunches, reading before bed, and getting the kids to sleep. The ideal caregiver will assist in fostering independence, support developmental and social-emotional skills, is engaging, flexible, present, and shares their values around spending time outside and staying active. The family is looking for someone who has a high level of attention, is warm, caring and has experience with children in this age group.
