Recent transplants to Cary. We have two kids (1 1/2 and nearly 5) who are looking to start daycare (and then kindergarten) in the next few months. Until then, we are a little overwhelmed as we get our house set up and try to arrange to go to the office a few times a week, and work from home otherwise. We have two small dogs, one very friendly but timid, and one who is an older cranky chihuahua/dachshund mix that will likely just stay with one of us if we're WFH. We're trying to build some independence in the kids in preparation for them going to daycare/school. The younger hasn't been separated from us much but took well to time with grandma when we visited for a few months. The older can be defiant at times but has had good experiences with babysitters and daycare activities in the past, and loves playgrounds etc.

We are looking for a reliable, responsive, & detail-oriented caregiver for our infant. Preferably someone with 5+ yrs of experience. We'll be implementing sleep training & need help keeping the awake/sleep schedule in place during the day. We also have an elderly dog that may need to be let out 1x/day. Need a sitter primarily to make sure my 15 YO son does his distance learning. He is suffering from depression and we are working on that so he has appointments for therapy or testing at times.
