Position Overview:

In this role, you will own the lifecycle marketing strategy and execution across all channels for key customer journeys and one-off campaigns. You'll play a critical role in ensuring data-driven personalization and optimizing user experience through iterative experimentation. This role requires deep technical understanding, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to connect strategic goals with operational execution.

What You’ll Do:

Data & Infrastructure:

  • Optimize the data ingestion process from data warehouse, APIs, or 3rd party connections into Iterable, our email service provider (ESP).
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our data through cleansing, documentation, and quality assurance (QA) practices.
  • Apply a strong understanding of APIs, data management, and system architecture to enhance our marketing data capabilities.
  • Partner with engineering and third-party solution providers to dive deep into technical challenges and implement scalable solutions.

End-to-End Lifecycle Journey Management:

  • Own the lifecycle marketing strategy for various user journeys and one-off campaigns across email, push, SMS, in-app, and on-site channels.
  • Work closely with email operations to bring lifecycle projects to completion, from planning to launch.
  • Identify customer pain points, ideate solutions to improve user experience, and continuously gather insights to refine messaging strategy.

Testing and Experimentation:

  • Develop and manage experimentation plans for 20+ existing lifecycle and behavioral journeys.
  • Analyze performance trends, extract actionable insights, and socialize findings to key stakeholders to inform future strategy.
  • Drive continuous improvements in campaign effectiveness through iterative testing and optimization.

Cross-Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Content to align lifecycle efforts with broader business goals.
  • Lead project kickoffs and planning meetings to ensure cross-functional alignment and clear communication on timelines and deliverables.
  • Maintain clear and timely project status communications with internal teams and leadership.

Who You Are:

  • 7–10 years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing, including end-to-end campaign management.
  • A dynamic and critical thinker who balances big-picture strategic thinking with strong executional detail.
  • Skilled in interpreting and leveraging data to drive informed decisions and performance improvements.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives with influence.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, agile, and test-and-learn environment.
  • Proactive, curious, and able to adapt to and advocate for new marketing technologies and solutions.
  • Strong project management skills and experience collaborating across departments to deliver results.
  • Comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and meeting deadlines with minimal oversight.
    Experience with marketing automation platforms, ideally Iterable or Braze. (Bonus: experience with CDPs like Tealium.)
  • Familiarity with automation, AI, or machine learning features within CRM tools is a plus.
  • BA/BS required.

Salary Range:  $120,000-$130,0000 

The base salary range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the national salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Care.com’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives. In addition, Care.com provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life, and disability insurance, a generous 401K employer matching program, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
