Respite Care Jobs

We are looking for a great babysitter for 2 children. We would prefer someone who could help out with light housekeeping. We would prefer a babysitter who has their own car, who is comfortable with pets and who is CPR certified. Our oldest son is autistic so we need someone who is comfortable helping with special needs. Also looking for someone who is either respite certified or willing to get certified. We will need help Monday-Thursday from 3pm-6 p.m. during the school year, as well a a few random date nights. During the summer we will be in need of assistance during the day hours, which we can discuss as I am flexible with those times.

The job involves sitting with my Grandmother. She requires companionship. She enjoys movies and conversation. She enjoys music. She sleeps a lot. She is independent in the bathroom and has excellent coordination for her age. She is 93. You can work two shifts per week, with each shift being from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. 10 hours per week.

She would need to be picked up, brought home, given dinner, put to bed, then hang out next day after spending night with her. She appears very neurotypical but her needs become clear after some time spent together. Mostly just keeping her safe, playing games, hanging out together while we travel home from a weekend out of state. Overnight job; you would get spare bedroom in a very cool house in Tempe just south of ASU. If all goes well there will be future jobs like this one, as spouse and I need a little respite!
