We are looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tutors who possess a joy for teaching and mentoring K-12 students.
Sessions are provided on a one-to-one ratio to provide individualized attention to one student at a time. Students are either tutored at a tutoring facility or at their homes or public location such as a library. Tutoring schedules are designed to keep a close proximity for appointments and/or to have back-to-back sessions at the tutoring facility where students arrive to meet their tutor.
Tutors will assist students with academic achievement by meeting them on a regular basis, Monday through Thursday, typically for 1-hour, 1. 5-hour, or 2-hour sessions. The schedules are a weekly recurring schedule at the same time for the entire 2023-2024 school year.
Tutoring focuses on providing support to align with content taught in the classroom in the core subjects of Math, Reading/Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Foreign Language (if student is taking a foreign language).
Prior tutoring or teaching experience required.
College sophomores, juniors, and seniors with previous paid or volunteer tutoring experience are encouraged to apply.
Candidates should have open time slots with recurring weekday availability between 2-8 p.m.
