Seeking care for my mother in her 60s. Services needed: companionship, bathing / dressing, feeding, meal preparation, medication prompting, help staying physically active, mobility assistance, transportation, light housekeeping, errands / shopping. Looking for someone with 5+ years of experience caring for seniors. Specialized care needs: nursing experience. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my mother: she can be anxious, grouchy, independent. My mother is very edgy and likes things done in a so-so manner. She will be friendly and kind right at first but then will become cranky and irritable. She is very depressed and cries a lot. She has had strokes that Isabel's the use of her hands and needs assistance doing almost everything. I'm looking for someone who is patient, firm. The ideal caregiver will need to be patient but firm voiced. She needs to not take it personally when my mother gets upset. The caregiver needs to be empathetic without getting emotionally attached. My mother likes to try and do her housework but needs assistance and maybe "little jobs or tasks" for her to complete. She likes to get out a couple of times a week, maybe get her nails done and maybe visit her grandkids.
