My personal senior care experience is with my grandparents. My grandfather had throat and prostate cancer and had to use a catheter. My Grand-mom had Alzheimer's and often required a lot of help and support. Seeing what they required inspired me to help others in a way that families often aren't able to due to work etc. Overall, I always find myself in the company of seniors and find that I can learn a lot from them. I thoroughly enjoy the conversation and company. Further, I am patient, kind, respectful, honest, and compassionate - all qualities which I believe are essential to being a great caregiver. My experience includes ADLs such as feeding, bathing/showering, changing diapers and clothing, medication reminders, companionship, turninng and repositioning, gtube care, trach care, meal prep etc. I am registered CNA and have worked Agency - traveling various rehabs, nursing homes and hospitals.
