About Zachary

I tutored all four years of high school and was in the National Honor Society junior and senior year. During that time, I was also awarded the Science Award due to my in-depth understanding of the inner workings of Physics and Chemistry. I graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor's in Spanish and was a member of the Honors College. In college, I received a 4.0 in both Calculus 1 and 2. During college, I was involved in study groups, in which I helped lead the discussions and introduce appropriate study practices depending on the topic. I make learning difficult topics fun and easy by first discovering how the student learns, and then implementing an assortment of useful learning techniques. Some of those learning techniques include rewards for mastering topics, such as Scholar Dollars (monopoly money earned that can be "cashed" in for a prize later), easy memorization tricks, pattern finding, and using games like Jeopardy to make learning simple and entertaining.
