About Yukako

I enjoy playing and spending time with kids! :) I have a few friend's kids I'm bff with. Its part of my nature to be playful and share the child like wonder in life that might be connecting me to kids and animals. I taught ballet and Japanese (I'm originally from Tokyo) to a class of 5-10 kids at my friends preschool and that was one of the most rewarding experiences I had. Kids loved dancing to music and learning different positions and doing jumps in groups! I mostly focused on having fun and encouraged them to move to music and taught more complex moves to kids who were more eager to learn. Some of them went on to study ballet after and hearing that was very rewarding! Japanese is my mother tongue so I would do alphabets or how to say simple words like dog or cat. I would love to share more of that with kids when I nanny! I did ballet for long time, played piano, always have been appreciator of arts and music, so I love sharing that knowledge and have a fun creative time with kids. I studied interior design in college and for last 10 plus years, I have been working at photo studios around Seattle and currently, I am a freelance photo stylist. I heard about Care.com from my friends who nanny and with my love for animals and kids, I'm finding myself drawn to the care industry. After 10+ yrs of commercial work, I'm finding myself wanting more meaningful work and thinking of community volunteering also. I often get amazed by how awesome and amazing kids are! I would love to meet you and your kids and establish a great on going care relationship. I just signed up to care.com so it's in progress to get everything listed, but I have a lot of references.
