About Yana

I recently left my self-contained special education teaching position of 2. 5 years, where I worked with children grades K-3 with autism and significant communication needs. I am finishing up my masters degree in Special Education from Towson University, focusing on Autism Spectrum Disorders. I have years of experience working with children with disabilities and varying levels of abilities, differentiating instruction to ensure their success in all academic areas. I received my certification to teach early childhood education in April of 2019 in addition to my previous special education and elementary education certifications in May of 2017. I have a passion for working with children and finding meaningful ways to engage them in learning!
