Hi parents! My name is Leah. I'm a professional school counselor who has 5 years experience working with kids aged from 5 to 18 in public schools. I graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Master degree in Counseling. I'm very big on building warm, non-judgmental and trusting relationships. It is only in the context of relationships that a child's most critical developmental skills are learned. I always make sure that I show up with empathy and curiosity even when kids have challenging behaviors. My patient and creative side allows me to connect with children naturally, providing a nurturing and imaginative environment for their learning and play. I value open communication with parents, ensuring they are regularly updated about their child's day and any matters that arise. I'm also happy to provide parenting resources and tips. With my background as a school counselor, I can collaborate with parents to support their children's needs very well.
