About Xiaowei

Hello! My name is Romee, I graduated from the UW with a BS in Neuroscience and Biochemistry and a minor in Business. I developed a passion for teaching in sophomore year after designing and leading a community building course for freshman with a focus on mental health during the transition period from high school to college. I taught General Chemistry as a teaching assistant at UW for 2 years, focusing on setting up a good foundation for upper level classes. I am also a private AP chemistry and Biology tutor for 2 years. I am currently also tutoring pre-school math. I enjoy interacting and getting to know my students beyond the classroom. I strongly believe that every student is unique and I strive to stay flexible and adapt to their unique needs. I am currently in the process of applying to medical schools and I enjoy sharing my personal experiences about healthcare with any students who are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare.
