I have recently retired with 32 years of service from a state facility, providing care to persons diagnosed with Intellectual Disabilities. I also provided care while promoting self-reliance and independence in a residential setting for 13 years. These years of service has afforded me the opportunity to support persons of various abilities, personalities, and diagnoses. I have also cared for my own family members who were aging. I recently received a certification for Personal Care Aide. I am also CPR certified. I have knowledge of Human Rights, Medication Administration, Dressing, Lifting, Bathing, First Aid/CPR, G-Tube Nutrition, and TOVA. I am very conscientious, caring, reliable, detailed oriented, and organized person. I pride myself on performing my duties to the highest level. As a care giver, I believe that you should support and take care of the person as if they were your family member.
