About Winnie

After receiving my BA in Sociology from Villanova University, I moved to Brooklyn to pursue a career in teaching. As a current first grade teacher, I am deeply passionate about working with kids and guiding their learning and development. I have been working in childcare since high school, first working as a mothers helper, then moving on to babysitting and teaching private swim lessons. Some things you should know about me are; - I am super crafty and love to make every experience into a moment for creativity - I was a DI swimmer in college, and have many years of experience lifeguarding, swim coaching, and teaching kids to swim I would describe my personality as empathetic, adaptable and dedicated. One thing you should know about me is that I bring my authentic self to every environment that I am in. My skills include making every moment teachable, showing empathy, care and understanding, even in frustrating moments, and making every idea possible into reality through crafting.
