About Will

Hi! I'm Will (they/he), and I have loved caring for children since my little sister was born at age 3! However, I developed an official interest in children's education as a high-schooler, working summer camps at the preschool where my mom is a music teacher. Most of my professional experience is in finance, administration, and operations, but I have a B. A. in Theatre Arts and worked full-time as an Assistant Toddler Guide at a Montessori school when I first moved from Minneapolis to Austin in 2022. I'm passionate about fostering empathy and independence in children and exposing them to new experiences while honoring daily routines. I believe that the best way to solve problems or difficulties with a child is to make an effort to understand the "why" behind the child's emotions and actions, and then explore creative solutions from there. I love all children, animals, and plants, and look forward to meeting you!
