About Whitney

I have worked as an experiential educator with students ranging from elementary to college age for over five years. While in college I interned at the local Waldorf school, working in the 1st-5th grade class rooms as a teacher's aid and one on one. From there I have worked as a social emotional educator in Maine for a residential field trip school called The Leadership School. Each week I delivered our programming to a different group of students and adjust my style based on the age and needs of the specific school. I have extensive experience with student management, adapting subjects into experiential learning, and years of experience as an outdoor and environmental instructor for children. I'm hoping to teach a small group of elementary students this fall who are doing remote learning due to the pandemic. I hope to incorporate outdoor and creative time into the learning day as much as possible while sticking closely to their school's curriculum.
