Hello, I'm Wendy! I have 10+ years of childcare experience across all ages, including 2. 5 years caring for behavioral patients (ages 5-18) at a children's hospital. I'm currently pursuing my dream of becoming an occupational therapist. I'm dependable, communicative, and I aim to support kids' emotional development and independence in age-appropriate ways. I'd describe myself as compassionate, easygoing, and creative. I love spending the day with curious little people who are unapologetically themselves. Struggling to define the word 'the' to a 4-year-old while coloring is my jam! I thrive in a collaborative, supportive dynamic with parents. I focus on talking things through with kids before turning to consequences when appropriate, and I try to stay flexible; 'five more minutes' is usually a yes when possible. I like spending my free time with my friends and family, exploring my neighborhood, and writing.
