About Wendy

Hello moms & dads! My name is Wendy and I am a reading tutor, certified to administer the Wilson Reading Program. I began my journey in 2013 as a frustrated and desperate parent of child who had been struggling for years in school with limited reading abilities and processing issue. Hoping to learn how to help my child, I reached out to the Wilson Academy and began training in their systematic, intensive, and focused approach to teach the structure of the English language and total word structure for decoding and encoding. Since then, I have privately tutored many students and I am super proud of the success we have had together improving their reading skills! The Wilson System is the core of my lessons, each session designed to meet my student where they are, and I also implement games & fun activities to keep them engaged.
