I'd describe my personality as laid back, patient and good with people and communication I like caring for seniors because if I can make their lives a little better I will. I'm looking for a job that is satisfying and allows me to care for others. I started caring for seniors when my grandparents became ill. I took care of them until they passed on. Then working in a long term care facility, getting my degree in respiratory therapy, I cared for young and old. It's a career that allows me to make someones life a little better. In my spare time, I like to paint and do crafts. One thing you should know about me is I am honest and reliable. My skills include first aid and CPR certification. I am also MAP certified and have had multiple training classes on dementia and Alzheimer's.

Wendy was interviewed by me and my brother for doing services Monday through Friday mornings at 7am-8am. We met her 5 days prior to her starting. She was to start on the Monday after we interviewed her, she agreed to the rate, hours and small services that would need to be provided such as- giving my mom her breakfast that was pre made the day before, coffee, fill her juice cups and change her diaper after she had eaten her breakfast. I confirmed with her on the Sunday before she was to start via text if she was coming on the Monday and she replied of course, I will be there. Well the morning she was supposed to start she texted me at 6:15am Her response in text- I'm so sorry, I can't help you. I didn't plan correctly and my husband needs a ride to work. It's not going to work out. Again, I am so sorry for the trouble. Who does this? You didn't know the day before that you needed to take your husband to work? Why did you confirm saying that you would be there on the Monday morning? We were very upset, me and my brother had to change our work schedules due to this and lost money doing so. This was not called for and if she didn't want to do this service for my elderly 91 year old mother she could have just been honest and upfront. It's easier to be honest than leave someone stranded at the last minute.
