About Wendi

Hi! My name is Wendi, I am a mom to a beautiful 12-year-old boy. I am a nature lover at my core and enjoy spending as much time as I can outside. I have been working with kids most of my life, starting as a babysitter at 12 and transitioning into a nanny as an adult, with my most recent endeavor being a preschool teacher in Ypsilanti for two consecutive school years. Thanks to my experience in the classroom I am able to maintain proactive routines, manage struggles as they arise and plan a wide range of engaging age appropriate activities. All of the activities I plan for children are based on their interests and are open ended. My goal in working with children is to encourage their interests, spend quality time engaging in child led play and allow them the opportunity to explore their curiosity through play. I genuinely love spending time with children and I am currently looking to connect with a local family for part-time care.
