Hello parents, My name is Wegahta, and I have been a nanny for over 15 years. I babysat numerous children as a teenager and wanted to become a professional in what I love. After finishing my degree in early childhood education in Germany, I started working as a kindergarten teacher back in Germany. I decided to become an AuPair in America in 2007. I loved working with a family rather than in a kindergarten and that's how my nanny journey started. I stayed at my recent job for over 4 years. Both families had a baby girl, and I joined them when the girls were 4&5 months old. Duties included:changing diapers, feeding them bottles, putting them down for naps, reading stories and singing songs, taking them on walks, and tummy time. Second year included:craft projects, playing with toys taking them to playgrounds/library, and fun educational activities. In August 2020, they started preschool. Wegahta was a nanny for my daughter from when she was 3 months old to 14 months. I would highly recommend Wegahta for any type of childcare. My daughter loved her, and Wegahta did a great job engaging her in activities and caring for her well being. As new parents, we were completely comfortable leaving our daughter with Wegahta and she was wonderful about communicating concerns if there were any.
