About Vida

I have been caring for one family in Glenn Ellyn in the past 10 years. I started caring for a toddler and newborn, followed by the third and fourth babies. I helped to raise the children up to 4 to 11 years and I love them as my own. Besides attending to their everyday physical needs, the nurturing aspect of their development was highly important to me. I enrolled in Chicago Waldorf teacher Institute to deepen my understanding of child development and boost my creativity so I would able to use those as tools for the nourishment of children. Creativity, appreciation of nature and exposure to culture are the main pillars where my attention rests while working with children. Of course, after their everyday physical needs are met. Forest preserves, barns, trails were our usual places of destination, so were theatres and plays. Handwork, crafts, painting were an inseparable part of our day. it was an absolute delight to see them grow joyful and creative, to see them grow and change.
