About Victoria

I'd describe my personality as positive, easy-going, and flexible. Working with children is a very fulfilling job. It is a privilege to help them develop and grow. Plus, kids always keep you on your toes! I started working with kids shortly after I graduated from Western Carolina University. In my spare time, I like to read and travel. I also have a dog who occupies as much of my life as he can! Some of the skills that I have honed while working with children would be patience, communication, and empathy. Kids are growing and learning each day so having patience with them is crucial for them to develop. How you communicate with them can really change the direction of how a situation will unfold. Modeling appropriate behavior when communicating or empathizing with a child helps them learn how to handle situations they encounter on their own.
