About Victoria

Hello! My name is Victoria. I taught 10th grade Humanities for two years at High Tech High in San Diego and am currently a social entrepreneur. I earned my M. Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction and CA Teaching Credential for Secondary (6th-12th grade) English at USD and B. A. in Political Science from UCLA. I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring diverse student populations, including students with disabilities. I am most comfortable with writing, reading, history, English, and test prep. I can also tutor through middle school and science. I have four younger siblings, so I am comfortable working with any age down to second grade. I love getting to know my students and building a real connection with them, which helps me tailor sessions to suit their individual needs and interests. I am extremely patient and like to be creative with my learning approaches. My goal is to build self-sufficient learners for life who possess growth mindsets and persevere through academic challenge
