About Victoria

I took care of both my mother and father for several years. My father had COPD and was in a wheelchair and on oxygen for the last seven years of his life. My mother suffered several strokes and was incapacitated for the last several months of her life. Both had diabetes. I assisted in their day to day routines for meds, meals, diabetes testing, toileting, dressing, and transport to and from their doctors, PT, etc. I scheduled their appointments and advocated for them with their doctors, nurses, home health aids, and other caregivers. I am a strong individual who can lift at least 50 pounds and I feel confident in my competence at all levels of basic care. I have had care cases for two elderly women, two 90+ year old couples, and a gentleman who has suffered a stroke. I am responsible for preparing meals for them, any necessary transport to appointments, etc., administration of medications, transfer and toileting, doing any exercises with them. I enjoy providing companionship most.
