About Victoria

My first experience caring for children was at Chelsea School in Hyattsville, MD in the summer of 2019. For this internship, I taught reading and writing classes mostly for 6th and 8th graders, and helped to coordinate fun activities for the students, such as ping-pong, basketball, and water balloon fights outside. Additionally, since then I completed student teaching placements at Stuarts Draft Middle School and Waynesboro High School in the early spring of 2020. Afterwards, my first full-time teaching job was as a long-term substitute teacher for 7th grade U. S. History II: 1865-Present. This position required teaching and looking after ninety seventh graders, in which I conducted bi-weekly online meetings and created lesson plans during the COVID-19 pandemic.
