About Vicna

Hi! My name is Vicna, and I'm a rising fourth-year student at the UVA with a passion for children's well-being, education, and development. My work has always centered around supporting young people, from caring for infants and mentoring teenagers to tutoring K-6 students and advocating for children through my internship with the Virginia Department of Education. I have over four years of paid childcare experience, including more than three years with Jovie, where I've cared for 50+ families and children ranging from 5-month-old infants to teenagers. I also work in the Early Childhood Center at my local church and have experience supporting children with diverse abilities and needs. I'm CPR certified, have reliable transportation, and am known for being dependable, patient, and engaging. My goal is to create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where children thrive and parents have complete peace of mind. I would love to introduce myself formally.
